PTA News from Ellwood School updated August 31, 2009
My name is Irene Milton and I am excited to be your PTA President.  I also work from home on the SBParent.com website and I enjoy reading, knitting and scrapbooking.  My twin boys are in third grade. I love Ellwood School and I LOVE being involved in the PTA>  I love the PTA for three reasons: The PTA funds school programs and activities for ALL students.  The PTA plans to spend over $86,000 this school year towards P.E., Science and Computers; Cultural Arts programs & assemblies; classroom supplies; field trips; Science Night; Holiday Cxraft Night; the Handball Tournament and more.  This comes out to over $215 per student! Going to the meetings and Hearing Ms. Barnitz's updates on what's happening at school is the best way to stay informed. I love getting to know and work with Ellwood parents and staff.  When I first joined the PTA, I was an incoming kindergarten parent and did not know many other parents.  That changed with my first PTA meeting!
